As a family living and growing in Columbus, we love finding out about the family-fun events going on in the Arena District. One of our favorite places to visit is Studio Move Grill in downtown Columbus, right next to Nationwide Arena.
Benjamin, Seth and I escaped to Studio Movie Grill to check out their new Superhero Series that made it’s debut this January. Studio Movie Grill brought the Marvel Comics superfecta back to the big screen with The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. Tickets were only $3 plus no online booking fees.
Before the movie Benjamin broke out his Spiderman moves!
While Seth and I enjoyed some beers. Love this option for us adults.
I kept Benjamin entertained with some camera fun while we waiting for the pizza
And check out this pizza. Really? In a movie theater? We had to pinch ourselves. And it was as delicious as it looks.
After the pizza we grabbed our popcorn and headed into the theater. The seats were incredibly comfortable and spacious. The theater clean as a whistle. And then something incredible happened. Benjamin was sitting between Seth and I and then… he looked over at my lap, then at Seth’s and then at mine. And then – he jumped into Seth’s. He chose Seth’s lap over mine for the next 45 minutes of the movie.
And of course, I have to fight back the tears of overwhelming awe at how close they have become.
Benjamin calls him Dad and Daddy and it seems his heart is filling up, making room for this new experience, the new feeling of having a father. Not just on paper or for a few hours once a month, but here, present and in his life.
Thanks to the Arena District for this experience! We will be back…
If you are interested in checking out the Superhero Series for yourself you can read all about it here. Or you can plan on going March 4th at 7:30 pm for CAPTAIN AMERICA.
